The Mustad Slow Pitch J-Assist 3 Rig is designed for fast swimming fish or bottom feeders. The double hook rig features a heavy-duty solid ring tied to the wide gap Mustad hook with high quality PE and Kevlar materials. The two assist hooks are connected to the top end of the slim jigging lure to improve hookset, as the fish often strikes at the top end. Another benefit is less snags because of the absence of the traditional tail treble. The assist hook has two luminous beads to attract attention, creating a striking point. The slow pitch fishing technique has proven great on slow days when fish are not as active and less of a strain on the arms as speed jigging. These hooks were tested over a period of 2 years by Mustad's pro staff before they were launched.
